High Power
WTAP2400 access point features a higher power output than most access points on the market. 90 milli Watts at the connector or 20dBm to penetrate walls and overcome other electro magnetic interference.

IEEE 802.11g/b Wireless LAN Access Point
WTAP2400 is a bridge between the wired Ethernet and the IEEE 802.11g/b wireless network. WTAP2400 lets your wireless client stations to access both the wired and the wireless network nodes.

WDS Bridge Mode (Repeater Mode)
The WDS (Wireless Distributed System) function lets WTAP2400 act as a wireless access point and repeater (with other WDS support devices) at the same time. Users can use this feature to build up a wireless network for a large space like airports, hotels and schools …etc. This feature is also useful when users want to bridge networks between buildings where it is impossible to deploy network cable connections between these buildings.

Universal Repeater Mode
When enable Universal Repeater Mode, WTAP2400 acts as a wireless access point and AP client at the same time. It uses AP client function to connect to a Root AP (any AP) and uses AP function to service all wireless stations within its coverage. All the stations within the coverage of WTAP2400 can be bridged to the Root AP. Universal Repeater Mode is a very convenient way to extend the coverage of your wireless network.

Station Mode (AP Client Mode)
You can connect WTAP2400 to a network device's Ethernet port  and enable Station mode. It turn easily this wired network device to a wireless one without changing any configuration.

Robust Wireless Security
Beside the basic security settings like ESSID and 64/128-bit WEP encryption, WTAP2400 also supports the advanced security features, like WPA, WPA2, MAC access control and hidden ESSID. This technology helps to provide a total solution to build up a secured wireless network environment to prevent from all kinds of hacker intrusion.

RP-SMA Detachable Antenna
WTAP2400 provides a standard RP-SMA antenna connector . You connect with any RP-SMA high gain aerial to extend the wireless LAN coverage and improve the performance.

Web Configuration
You can configure this access point through the friendly Web user interface with a browser.
